BIRTHDAYS!!!!

Some special birthdays this week:  My friend, Dr. Sandy has a birthday today, 2/20; my friend, Herb, who lives in Lafayette, LA will celebrate his birthday tomorrow, 2/21; and our own Nancy will be partying down on Wed, 2/22.  My son, James, will also have a big 17th birthday on Tues., 2/28.  Happy Birthday to one and all!!!

OFF TO COLORADO

If you've been in The Cookie within the last month or so you have probably heard I'm off to ski.  I've never been before so I can't wait for this new adventure.  I'm going with some of my volleyball playing friends and we are heading to Vail and Beaver Creek.  I do plan to take lessons but keep your fingers crossed I come back in one piece.  My brother hints that I'm somewhat dangerous on a wave runner and has cautioned me that a snowmobile can encounter trees!  Oh yea of little faith!  Marina, competent as always, will be in charge while I'm away.  Thanks Marina!!!

DID YOU SURVIVE THE COLD?

Well, I know we all survived Valentine's Day and it was a beautiful day!  How about this freezing cold?  Many of you braved the cold and winds to join us this weekend for breakfast.  Brave souls all!  Biscuits and gravy were the hot item this weekend.  Poor Vera will have to make a double batch.  Vera is my darling 80 something employee.  She always has a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye...usually due to some devilment she's cooked up.  Come enjoy her fantastic sausage gravy or her hearty and filling herb potato casserole.  The girl can cook!

VALENTINE'S DAY

Yes, Valentine's Day is just around the corner.  Don't forget to order sweets for your sweets.  Nothing says I love you better than our scrumptious Classic Cookies!  We do have the heart shaped decorated sugar cookies available.  They are $1.25 each.  Last day to place orders for those cookies for Valentine's Day is Wed., Feb. 8.  Order soon!

NEW ARRIVALS AT THE COOKIE

Here's some exciting news for the neighborhood!  Two new customers have been added to our list of regulars.  They are Nora, daughter of Scott and Heather and she was born on July 12, 2005 and Ellen Lorraine, daughter of Todd and Bonnie born November 23, 2005.  Bonnie was shooting for my mom's birthday of Nov. 24 and just missed by a day.  Welcome to the Cookie family!
