WARNING!! WARNING!!

The days for Egg Salad Sandwiches are numbered.....actually, only one left!  That would be this Wednesday, August 30.  Following Labor Day we will begin serving our famous meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans.  That begins on Wednesday, September 6.  So come in for your Egg Salad fix this week and start the fall season off next week with a tummy-warming meatloaf lunch.

BACK TO SCHOOL

It's that time of year already, but who can believe it!  Don't forget to bring your students in for a healthy, tasty start to their school day.  We have a wonderful breakfast and we open at 7:00 AM!  And if they are only attending half days to start, why not wind up their day with a yummy lunch at the Cookie on the way home!?

Thank you to all of our customers for bearing with us during this heat wave while our air conditioning was on the outs.  Your continued support and sense of humor is what makes our "Cookie" customers so special.  We do have a new unit installed and our place is cool!  Thanks again!

Don't forget as you are heading out of town...our cookies love to travel!  You can call ahead and we'll have whatever amount you wish boxed or tinned ready for your travels.  What could be better than munching a Classic Cookie along the highways and by-ways.  Treat yourself!

DOG DAYS

The Fourth of July is over and I hope you all had as marvelous a holiday as I did.  Thanks for being so understanding about your favorite restaurant being closed for 2 days.  We certainly enjoyed the rest!  We're heading in to the dog days of summer now with heat and humidity building daily.    As an antidote to all that why don't you stop in for one of our fabulous lunches....maybe accompanied by one of our chilled soups.  This Wednesday, 7/12, we will be serving a delicate Avocado-Cucumber along with our "to-die-for" Egg Salad. Don't miss out!

SHANNON - HERE AND GONE

As many of you know, one of our very favorites was here for a few short weeks.  Shannon was home from her semester in Europe and her summer break from Loyola.  She helped us out tremendously and it was wonderful for her to see so many familiar faces.  She said she had a fantastic time and was so pleased that many asked about her school year.  Don't we just have the greatest customers?

FATHER'S DAY

We will be open on Father's Day, June 18th, if you are looking for a great place to treat your dad.  We will be open our regular business hours...8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with the kitchen closing at 1:30 PM.  Our breakfast special on that day is Mexican Baked Eggs.  It is a yummy egg casserole with tomatoes, green chiles, ham and cheeses topped with sour cream and green onions with a side of salsa.  Doesn't that sound just right for dad?  If you can't make it in to dine with us, why not treat dad to a festive tin of cookies....mmmm mmmm good!  You'll be his favorite kid!
